Spiti Valley

Spiti literally means ‘middle land’ as it is bordered by Tibet in the east, Ladhak to the north, Kinnaur to the south east and lahaul and kullu to the south. Spiti is an adventure lover’s paradise, with a number of trekking trails that tourists can choose from. Wherever you go, you’ll witness beautiful Buddhist monasteries, prayer flags fluttering in the air and a large number of monks praying with their prayer wheels. You can also have glimpse of Dhadkan and Chandratal lake here. The passes like Kunzum and Barchala Pass will further take you at the top of the world with its immense altitude. The mountain ropeway from Kibber to Chichum is also another popular tourist attraction that offers spectacular views of the gorge below, as well a bird’s eye view of the surrounding peaks.
