Spiti Valley is a cold desert located in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Spiti is a heavenly gateway for those seeking solitude in the bliss of nature. This majestic cold desert valley in Himachal Pradesh is replete with pine forests, green meadows, beautiful monasteries and inhabited villages that will leave you totally awe-stuck. Situated at an altitude of around 12,500 ft above the sea level the barren mountains over here change their hues every second and it is definitely a sight to behold ‘Spiti’ literally translates into the middle land as the value lies between India and Tibet. The region offers spectacular glimpses of the snow-capped Himalayan ranges. It is one of the coldest places in India as the region gets only around 250 days of sunshine in a year. The beautiful valley is lined with small huts and Buddhist monasteries inhabited by people who live simple lives and welcome tourists with open arms

Itinerary

Day 1
CHANDIGARH ARRIVAL

On arrival airport or railway station meet and greet with our representative and get driven to Delhi hotel, on arrival check-in at your hotel. Here bike will be allocated to you that you will be riding for the rest of the tour..Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

Day 2
CHANDIGARH TO NARKANDA(180 KMS)

Start early to beat the traffic out of Chandigarh and head towards the Himalayas. Narkanda is a quintessential small Himalayan town located on a ridge – which is why it is called Narkanda. Kanda in local dialect means a ridge or a high place. Narkanda is snuggled in a thick alpine forest of the lesser Himalayas about 60 km far from Shimla.After reaching Narkanda we will settle down our selves & later if time permits, we shall visit the famous Hatu temple and spend some time there. Relax in the evening.We will visit Hatu Temple if everyone is upto it. We will witness the spectacular view of the Himalayan ranges, Snow covered mountains, deep forests, apple orchards andgreen fields are absolutely surreal to the eyes of visitors. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel in Narkanda.

Day 3
NARKANDA- CHITKUL ( 190 KMS)

After breakfast, check-out form the hotel and head towards your next destination which lies in Kinnaur Valley. Travel along the Sutlej river till Karcham from where you will take a right turn towards Chitkul following the Baspa river. Chitkul is the kind of beauty that leaves you thoroughly awe-struck and grasping for more. It is called India’s last village. Situated at 11000 feet. Your experience can be exponentially multiplied once you sit and relax at Hindustan ka aakhri dhaba, cherishing its delectable local food. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel/homestay in Chitkul

Day 4
CHITKUL – KALPA RECKONG PEO ( 61 KMS)

After breakfast, check-out form the hotel and head to Kalpa, via Reckong Peo – the district capital of Kinnaur. On arrival at Kalpa, check-in at your hotel. It is a place where we get permit to enter Spiti valley and once all formalities done.you can do a small a trek to Roghi Village (remember the way to Roghi Village is open only in summers) and then to suicide point. Next point of your trip should be Kamru Fort. Follow this with lunch and continue your journey to Basteri if shopping is on your list or else one can visit the ancient village of Kothi, known for its temple, fruit orchards and spellbinding views. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel in Kalpa.

Day 5
KALPA -KAZA

After breakfast, check-out form the hotel and head towards your next destination which lies in the land of little Tibet. En route, you will be taking the Indo-Tiber Highway and pass through the Khab Bridge that marks the confluence of Spiti and the Satluj River.
Take a short break at Nako Lake and have lunch, after which you will be entering the Spiti Valley. Then you will cross Tabo ,the Tabo monastery is a protected as a National Historic Treasure of India by the Archeological Survey of India. It has houses for more than 60 lamas and has some rare gathering of scriptures, pieces of art and wall paintings. On arrival at Kaza, check-in at your hotel.Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel in Kaza

Day 6
KAZA – KI – KIBER - HIKKIM –KOMIC- LANGZA KAZA

After breakfast, ake your bike out today to explore the spectacular beauty of Kaza. Head to Kibber, take pleasure in high-altitude weather in the town of Kaza, which is an administrative centre of the Spiti Valley. ride from the Kaza to the small village of Kibber. Kibber a narrow valley on the summit of a limestone rock is situated at4205m which is famous for its motor able connectivity and own polling station during elections. From here drive to the ki Gompas where one can observe the houses of large number of Buddhist monks and nuns anda cafeteria..Later procedd for , Hikkim, Komic & Langza. Hikkim, a small village in Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, is known for housing the world’s highest post office. Besides this universal fact, the serene location of the place makes it a perfect holiday destination for those in search of tranquillity. Due to its high elevation, the village remains snow-capped for a considerable time around the year. Hence, you would want to visit Hikkim when the weather is pleasant.later get driven to the highest village of Asia Komik, literally means ‘eye of a snow cock’, and islocated at a height of 4513m. This agronomy hamlet has a population of 84 people, living in complete isolation, cut-off from the rest of the world for most parts of the year. Here you can visit the Komik Lundu Chhemo, which is one of the highest monasteries in the world, set in attractive backdrop. After komic get driven to Langza. It a hamlet located at an elevation of 4400 meters and fits to the Sakyapa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Langza is village having the population of 137 in 33 households. Here you can stroll to the ancient Lang (Temple), which is estimated to be around 1000 years old. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel in Kaza.

Day 7
KAZA – KUNZUM CHANDERTAL

After breakfast, check-out form the hotel and headn to the incredible Chandratal Lake, enroute will cross Kunzum La. Kunzum Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4,590 m (15,059 ft) above the sea level, located on the eastern Kunzum Range of the Himalayas, in India. It is one of India’s highest motor able mountain pass. It’s the highest point in the Spiti Valley Road The road over the pass is not a road. Just a dirt track leading up to the top of the hill. It links the Kullu Valley and Lahaul Valley with the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The surface on this gravel road is often loose, especially along the sides o Continue drive to Chandertal, on arrival check in at camps.

Day 8
CHANDERTAL-ROHTANG-MANALI

Post a delectable breakfast, head to Manali Later evening you Will Reach Manali. Check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 9
MANALI – CHANDIGARH

You will check-out from your hotel, after having breakfast and back to Chandigarh . After reaching Chandigarh hand over your bikes at the reporting point . With the scenic road trip, your memorable family trip to Spiti Valley will also come to an end.
