Itinerary
Arrival at Leh Airport, to be received by our representative and transferred to the pre – booked Hotel. Check in to the hotel for a complete day of rest and acclimatization. If health permits, visit Leh Palace ,Leh market,Shanti Stupa in the evening. At night have your dinner at the hotel and have a sound sleep for an exciting tomorrow.
Begin your day early with a delicious breakfast and prepare for an adventurous drive to the legendary ‘Sham Valley’.Visit the confluence of the Zanskar- Indus Rivers, which is also the world highest river rafting point than on the way back visit Magnetic Hill (the hill that defies the gravity) and later to 12th Century Gurduwara Pather Sahib. Evening free to explore the market. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Later return to hotel for dinner and over-night stay.
After an early Breakfast leave for to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, which is the Highest Motor-able road in the World at 18,380 ft. Reach Nubra valley by late noon check in at the hotel/camp. Later we explore the Diskit Monastery; which was founded in the 14th Century, and is one of the largest of the Buddhist Monasteries. Afterwards get back to the hotel/camp as the delicious dinner awaits. Overnight at camp at Nubra valley.
After Breakfast head start journey to Turtuk which is 80Kms from Nubra approx 04 Hrs drive Turtuk is the last village of India and was part of Pakistan. The village is paradise in itself the only village in Ladakh where all covered with greenery. The valley is known for its landscapes.. Further we visit Thang village (Subject to operation)- Northern most last village at LOC. Here we take a photo stop at LOC point
In the morning after breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake on the Indo-China border.
Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Shyok river on one side and the Mountains on another side.
The lake is six to seven kilometre at its widest point. It is bisected by the international border between India and China. The saline water lake is at the height of 4,350 m (14,270 ft) and has a brilliant colour variation including deep blue and turquoise. Dinner and overnight stay in Pangong
After breakfast drive towards Leh.Evening free to explore the market. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Leh. Reach Leh by afternoon, check into hotel and relax. Evening at leisure, you may opt to visit the local market to buy souvenirs for your near & dear ones. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, head to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45km west of Leh; Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. Later return back to hotel and spend the time at leisure. Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, depart to Leh airport to board the flight back for onward journey with beautiful memories.
